A large amount of water evaporates in conventional natural draught towers during the cooling process and this water steam is thrown into the atmosphere. For this reason, very large amounts of water supplementation is required. In order to have a solution for water supplementation, dry type natural draft cooling towers are used in areas where there is a limited water resources.
As the steam passes through the heat exchangers placed in the tower, is condensed by the air moving from bottom to top with natural flow. Then the condensed water is transmitted to the boilers again.
